In contrast to many other providers ALL surgeon treatment costs are included in our outpatient fees (detailed below). Other hospitals often charge a set fee for the outpatient consultation, then surgeon fees for procedures undertaken. Hampshire ENT Clinics provide open and transparent pricing, which is why we detail everything clearly from the outset.

All the Hampshire ENT Clinics Consultants are fee assured for all major insurance companies and welcome referrals from insured and self funding patients.

Outpatient consultations (including outpatient procedure costs)

Initial consultation = £280*

Consultation + nasal cautery for nosebleeds = £425 (including all hospital equipment charges and nasendoscopy)

Microsuction ear clearance (both ears) by ENT Consultant Surgeon in Outpatients = £125

*Nasendoscopy requires an equipment fee (in addition to the above costs) of £95 at Medicana and £135 at New Hall Hospital, payable directly to the hospital

*Hearing tests require an additional fee (payable to Rafael Saramago, Audiologist)

Pure tone audiometry (‘normal hearing test’) = £100

Outpatient Procedures

Nasendoscopy

This is an important part of the ENT assessment and diagnostic process. Using a fine fibre optic telescope consultants are able to examine the nose and upper airways. This allows a detailed assessment to be conducted in the outpatient clinic setting without the need for a general anaesthetic. 

Microsuction (Suction Clearance)

Suction clearance is a procedure performed in the outpatient clinic room to clear wax and debris from the ear.  The use of a microscope and fine surgical instruments allows safe clearance of debris from the ear allowing a clear view of the ear drum.

Prescription charges will apply for both insured and self-funded patients.  These are private prescriptions that are not covered by the NHS.
