Mr Hani Nasef is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon with specialist expertise in head and neck surgery, including thyroid and parathyroid disease. He manages a wide range of conditions affecting the head and neck, including benign and malignant tumours, salivary gland disease, and neck lumps.

He works as an NHS Consultant at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust and privately with Hampshire ENT Clinics, seeing patients in the Spire Hospital Havant (Portsmouth) and Medicana (Winchester). He sees patients with both complex head and neck conditions and general ENT problems.

Training

Mr Nasef completed his surgical training, following which he subsequently completed advanced fellowship training in Head and Neck and Skull Base Surgery, with specialist experience gained in Portsmouth, UK, and Brescia, Italy. These fellowships provided extensive experience in the management of complex head and neck conditions, including cancer surgery, thyroid and parathyroid disease, and salivary gland disorders.

Clinical expertise

Mr Nasef has particular expertise in the assessment and management of thyroid and parathyroid disease, head and neck cancer, and salivary gland tumours. He regularly evaluates patients with neck lumps and other head and neck conditions, providing comprehensive investigation and surgical management.

He performs a high volume of thyroid and parathyroid procedures each year and is experienced in both benign and malignant head and neck disease.

In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Nasef maintains an established medico-legal practice, regularly preparing independent expert reports in cases involving medical negligence and head and neck trauma. His medico-legal work includes cases related to noise-induced hearing loss, military noise exposure, and trauma-related auditory symptoms such as tinnitus.
