Preparing for Microsuction Ear Wax Removal
Blocked ears, reduced hearing, or a feeling of pressure are often caused by earwax build-up. At Hampshire ENT Clinics, we offer consultant-led microsuction ear wax removal — the safest and most effective way to clear wax and restore hearing.
Microsuction is performed during a 20-minute appointment by an ENT consultant, costs £125 (all inclusive), and avoids the risks of syringing. For best results, patients are advised to use sodium bicarbonate drops for 5 days beforehand. Occasionally, a second visit may be required for heavily impacted wax.
If your symptoms are not caused by wax, this will be identified during the appointment and you will be advised if a formal ENT consultation is needed.
